Oklahoma City Museum Of Art
A fun place to visit is the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. The museum's collection is diverse. Some of the artists include Georgia O' Keefe and Charles Wilson Peale. It's one of the leading art institutions in the region. Also, if you have friends and family under 18 they're free. The museum was incorporated in May 18, 1945. The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation gave $14.5 million dollars to build the museum.
Route 66
Another fun place to visit is Route 66. Did you know Route 66 is 400 miles long and passes through eight states including Oklahoma City? Some people like to visit the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum and The Milk Bottle Grocery. Route 66 was the first highway to be completely paved in 1938. Three time zones cross in Route 66. The father of Route 66 is an Oklahoma business man.
Oklahoma Aquarium
The last place to visit is the Oklahoma Aquarium. Why you should visit is because it is has the largest exhibit of bull sharks. Also, it is almost 20 years old and is the largest aquarium in the state! Did you know it took $600,000 and eight months to build the aquarium? That is why you should visit Oklahoma!
