Oklahoma has a long and interesting history. Did you know  people arrived in Oklahoma 30,000 years ago?  Many Native American tribes like the Plains, Apache, Caddo, Comanche, Wichita, Kiowa and Osage  lived in Oklahoma. In 1541 a Spanish explorer, named Fransisco Vasquez de Coronado. Arrived in Oklahoma searching for cities made of gold. Napoleon took Oklahoma from Spain in 1800. Later the Indian territory combined with the Oklahoma territory to make the state of Oklahoma. The land that is Oklahoma became part of the U.S. when the Louisiana Purchase took place which was April  30, 1803. Later Oklahoma became a state on November 16 1907.
